First Grade Team Leader

Welcome to First Grade! With  teaching experience, all in Plano ISD, I’ve previously taught kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. Helping young students build a positive foundation to begin their educational journey is my passion, and I am honored to share in the growth of your child.
 
My mission as a teacher is to foster a fun and loving environment in which my students feel safe to be risk-takers and independent problem-solvers. My biggest joy comes in seeing students light up in their “A-ha” moments, and helping them develop a genuine love for learning.
 
I am blessed with one very handsome son named Preston, who is now 30 years old. I was born and raised in Texas, and reside right here in Plano. When taking a break from teaching, I enjoy eating out and shopping with my Mom, decorating my home, and visiting Broken Bow, Oklahoma for quick get-aways. I love laughing, autumn, spa days, and reality TV.
