What to Expect in Kindergarten Instruction
Kindergarten in Plano ISD provides a child-centered, engaging learning environment designed to build a strong foundation for future learning. Instruction follows state standards (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) and focuses on the whole child—academically, socially and emotionally.
Academic Learning
- Literacy: Letter recognition, phonics, early reading and writing simple words and sentences
